La Marechale is set in the heart of the Luberon National Park and has views across the vineyards to the countryside beyond. In the distance to the north is Mont Ventoux. In the nearby villages, you can experience typical Provençal cuisine, relax in the local cafes and visit the local markets.

The 2 bedroom gite, part of our 18th century Provençal mas, has its own separate entrance and has been recently renovated to a high standard. The accommodation comprises 2 bedrooms each with its own private bath/shower room.

The large light and airy lounge/dining room with a high ceiling and exposed beams has stunning views of the perched villages of Bonnieux and Lacoste.

The gite is furnished to a high standard with a mix of antique and modern furniture
A large selection of reading books and games suitable for all ages is available.
There is a log fire in the lounge for those cosy winter evenings just relaxing by the fire.

Bed linen and towels (including pool towels ) are provided. Change-over days are normally Saturdays. A grocery pack can be provided for your arrival if requested.

Set within the grounds of the farmhouse, the privatewalled garden has a barbecue and exterior garden furniture for outdoor dining or relaxing. There is a selection of outdoor games available for use.

Adjacent to the walled garden, the south facing pool (9m X 4.5m) is complete with terraced area, sun loungers and table and chairs and is available for your exclusive use.

Parking facilities are available within the grounds.

The area is ideal for walking and cycling and bicycle hire is available in the village.
For simply browsing the local markets, visit Isle sur La Sorque, famous for it's antique and bric-a-brac market, or see the ochre deposits at Roussillon and visit the nearby lavender museum at Cabrieres. The historic city of Avignon is just under half an hour away where you can tour the city by boat or take a trip on le petit train.

The village of Bonnieux is the one of the most beautiful perched villages of the north of the Luberon and is part of the golden triangle of Gordes-Roussillon-Bonnieux . The village characterizes itself by its two churches, its walls, the ancient town hall, its remarkable streets and a number of old structures, all of which give Bonnieux it's unique charm.

There are a number of cafes and restaurants in the village and the area was featured in the film 'A Good Year. The typical Provencal market of Bonnieux is on Friday mornings and the village also has a number of local shops including, boulangeries, a butchers, a small supermarket and a selection of art and craft shops. The summer sees a host of fetes and festivals throughout the area

Marseille Airport is approximately 60 minutesand Avignon Airport 25 minutes. If travelling by car, the A7 autoroute is approximately 20 minutes from Bonnieux. The TGV train station is located in Avignon and is approximately 30 minutes away
